First, Ssag, thank you for posting about the music! We need more of those types of posts here. Second, I would agree. That performance is one of my 10 favorite. It's probably my favorite commercially released show outside of The Fillmore East collection 2/27-3/2/69.

And I haven't heard a better Help>Slip>Franklin's

One From the Vault is so good it almost gets overlooked.

There has never been a better Help>Slip>Franks played live. Never. That includes the monsters like 5/9 and 6/9/77.

It's just about a perfect performance and w/so few shows played in the "retirement" year of 1975 stands as the single most important show of that year for the band.

Love talking about it, and seeing Ssag's post will prompt me to pop it into the CD player later today.
